1. 1 Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager. Go to the 'Performance' tab and check memory usage. If memory usage is high (above 90%), close unnecessary applications to free up RAM. This gives the profiling system more room to work.
2. 2 Stop any ongoing profiling sessions that you don't need. Use the profiling tool's stop button or the command 'wpr -cancel' for Windows Performance Recorder. This frees up the profiling buffers.
3. 3 If you're using Windows Performance Recorder, you can increase the buffer size. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run 'wpr -start GeneralProfile -filemode -buffersize 1024'. This sets the buffer size to 1024 MB, allowing more data to be collected before hitting the limit.
4. 4 Check if there are any leftover profiling processes running. In Task Manager, look for processes like 'WPR', 'VSPerf', or others. Right-click and select 'End task' to stop them.
5. 5 Reboot your computer to clear all profiling buffers and reset the profiling system. After reboot, try starting a new profiling session.
