1. 1 Press Windows key + X and select 'Device Manager' from the menu. Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark—these are problematic drivers. Right-click the device and choose 'Update driver' > 'Search automatically for drivers'. This lets Windows find a compatible driver from its database, which often resolves level mismatches.
2. 2 If automatic search fails, go to the manufacturer's website (e.g., NVIDIA, Intel, Realtek) and download the latest driver for your exact hardware model and Windows 11 version. Use the 'Clean installation' option if available, which removes old driver files completely before installing the new one. This ensures no leftover incompatible driver levels remain.
3. 3 Press Windows key + R, type 'winver' and press Enter to check your Windows version. If you're on an older build, go to Settings → Windows Update and install all pending updates. Microsoft often releases driver compatibility fixes through these updates.
