1. 1 Press Windows key + X and select 'Device Manager' from the menu. This opens a list of all hardware components. Look for 'Network adapters' and expand it. Check the box that says 'Delete the driver software for this device' if available, then click Uninstall. This removes the current driver that might be corrupted.
2. 2 After uninstalling, restart your PC. Windows will automatically try to reinstall the driver. If it doesn't, go to Device Manager again, right-click your adapter, and select 'Scan for hardware changes'. This forces Windows to detect the hardware and install a generic driver.
