1. 1 Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. Type 'cmd' and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open Command Prompt as administrator. Click 'Yes' if prompted. This gives you the power to run system repair commands.
2. 2 In the Command Prompt, type 'sfc /scannow' and press Enter. This checks all protected system files and replaces any that are corrupted. It may take 15-20 minutes. If it finds errors, it will fix them automatically.
3. 3 If SFC finds errors but can't fix them, run DISM. Type 'DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth' and press Enter. This repairs the Windows system image itself, which SFC relies on. It can take up to 30 minutes.
4. 4 Check your disk for errors. Open File Explorer, right-click on your C: drive, select 'Properties', go to the 'Tools' tab, and click 'Check' under Error checking. Follow the prompts to scan and repair bad sectors. This directly addresses the 'inpage' error by finding physical disk problems.
