1. 1 Press Windows key + R, type 'dsa.msc' and press Enter to open Active Directory Users and Computers. This is where you manage domain accounts.
2. 2 Locate the affected account. Right-click it and select 'Properties'. Go to the 'Account' tab. Look for the 'Account options' and ensure that 'Account is sensitive and cannot be delegated' is unchecked. Also, check the 'Account' tab for any restrictions on logon hours or workstations.
3. 3 If the account is indeed a server trust account, you should not use it for interactive logon. Instead, create a new user account for the person or service. In ADUC, right-click the 'Users' container, select 'New', then 'User'. Fill in the details and set a password. Then add the user to the appropriate groups.
4. 4 If the account is used for a service, configure the service to use a group Managed Service Account (gMSA) or a virtual account instead. This is more secure and avoids the trust account issue.
5. 5 After creating a new account, test logging in with it. If you need to keep the old account for trust purposes, ensure it's not used for interactive logon.
