1. 1 First, check your network connection. Make sure you're connected to the network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet). You can check by looking at the network icon in the system tray.
2. 2 Open Command Prompt as administrator (Win+R, type 'cmd', press Ctrl+Shift+Enter). Run 'ipconfig /all' to see your IP configuration. Ensure you have a valid IP address and that the DNS server is set correctly.
3. 3 Test connectivity to the domain controller. Run 'ping [domain controller IP or name]' to see if it responds. If it doesn't, you may have a network issue.
4. 4 If you're on a VPN, disconnect and reconnect. Sometimes VPN connections can interfere with domain authentication.
5. 5 If the domain controller is reachable, try to rejoin the domain. Press Win+X and select 'System'. Click 'Rename this PC' and then 'Change'. In the 'Member of' section, select 'Domain' and enter the domain name. You may need to restart.
6. 6 If you're not on a domain, this error might be due to a misconfigured network profile. Reset the network stack by running 'netsh winsock reset' and 'netsh int ip reset' in Command Prompt, then restart.
