1. 1 First, check if the error is specific to a particular application. If so, try restarting that application. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager, find the application under 'Processes', right-click it, and select 'End task'. Then relaunch it. This clears any stuck child processes.
2. 2 If the error occurs during startup, perform a clean boot to disable third-party services and startup programs that might interfere. Press Windows key + R, type 'msconfig', and press Enter. Go to the 'Services' tab, check 'Hide all Microsoft services', then click 'Disable all'. Go to the 'Startup' tab and click 'Open Task Manager'. Disable all startup items. Restart your PC. If the error goes away, gradually re-enable services and startup items to find the culprit.
