1. 1 Press Windows key + R, type 'inetcpl.cpl', and press Enter. This opens Internet Properties. Go to the 'Connections' tab and click 'LAN settings'. This is where proxy settings are configured.
2. 2 If 'Use a proxy server for your LAN' is checked, note the address and port. Ensure they are correct. If you don't know them, contact your IT department. If the proxy is not needed, uncheck the box and click OK.
3. 3 If you are using a specific application (like Outlook), check its proxy settings. For Outlook, go to File > Options > Advanced, and under 'Exchange', click 'Proxy Settings'. Ensure the proxy server address is correct.
4. 4 Check if the RPC proxy service is running. Press Windows key + R, type 'services.msc', and press Enter. Look for 'RPC over HTTP Proxy' service. If it's not running, right-click and select 'Start'. If it's disabled, set it to 'Manual' or 'Automatic'.
5. 5 If the issue persists, try resetting the Windows network stack. Open Command Prompt as administrator (Win+X, then 'Terminal (Admin)') and type 'netsh winhttp reset proxy' and press Enter. This clears any corrupted WinHTTP proxy settings.
6. 6 Restart your computer to apply changes.
