1. 1 Run the System File Checker to repair corrupted system files. Open Command Prompt as administrator (right-click Start, select 'Terminal (Admin)'). Type 'sfc /scannow' and press Enter. This scans all protected system files and replaces corrupted ones. It may take 15-20 minutes.
2. 2 If SFC finds issues but can't fix them, run DISM to repair the system image. In the same Command Prompt, type 'DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth' and press Enter. This uses Windows Update to download healthy files. It can take up to 30 minutes.
3. 3 Update your device drivers, especially graphics and chipset drivers. Press Win+X and select 'Device Manager'. Expand categories, right-click each device, and select 'Update driver'. Choose 'Search automatically for drivers'. Outdated drivers can cause memory access errors.
4. 4 Check for malware. Run Windows Security (Win+I → Privacy & Security → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection) and perform a full scan. Malware can corrupt program files and cause invalid memory access.
5. 5 If the error occurs with a specific program, reinstall it. Uninstall the program via Settings → Apps → Installed apps, then download the latest version from the official website and install it. This ensures all files are fresh and compatible.
