- 1 Open Failover Cluster Manager: Press Windows key + R, type 'cluadmin.msc', and press Enter. Click Yes if prompted.
- 2 In the left pane, click on 'Networks'. Identify the network you want to take offline. Right-click it and select 'Show Dependencies'. This will show you a list of cluster resources that are currently using this network.
- 3 For each dependent resource, you need to either move it to another network or take it offline. To move a resource, right-click the resource (e.g., a virtual machine) in the 'Roles' section, select 'Properties', go to the 'Network' tab, and change the network assignment to a different network that is available.
- 4 If you cannot move the resource, you may need to take the resource offline temporarily. Right-click the resource and select 'Take Offline'. This will stop the resource but allow you to take the network offline.
- 5 Once all dependencies are removed, right-click the network and select 'Take Offline'. The network should now go offline without error.
