1. 1 Open the Settings app by pressing Windows key + I. Go to System → Storage. This shows a visual breakdown of what's using space on your drive. Look for categories like 'Temporary files' or 'Other' that might be hogging space.
2. 2 Click on 'Temporary files'. Check the boxes for items like 'Windows Update Cleanup', 'Delivery Optimization Files', and 'Recycle Bin'. Then click 'Remove files'. This safely deletes junk files that Windows no longer needs, freeing up space quickly.
3. 3 Use the Storage Sense feature: In Settings → System → Storage, toggle on 'Storage Sense' and click 'Configure Storage Sense or run it now'. Set it to run automatically when disk space is low. This helps prevent future full-disk issues.
4. 4 Run Disk Cleanup: Press Windows key + R, type 'cleanmgr', and press Enter. Select your system drive (usually C:).
