1. 1 First, close the game and any launchers (like Steam or Epic Games). Right-click the game icon and select 'Run as administrator' to ensure the game has full permissions. This sometimes bypasses the block if it was a permission issue.
2. 2 Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. Type 'appwiz.cpl' and press Enter. This opens the Programs and Features window. Look for any recently installed software that could conflict, especially RGB control software (Razer Synapse, Corsair iCUE, Logitech G HUB), VPN clients (NordVPN, ExpressVPN), or game boosters. Uninstall them temporarily to test if the error goes away.
3. 3 If you've ever used cheat programs, even for single-player games, search your system for leftover files. Press Windows key + E to open File Explorer, go to the game's installation folder (usually C:\Program Files\[Game Name]) and look for folders named 'cheat' or 'hack'. Delete them if found. Also check your Downloads folder and Desktop for any suspicious .exe files.
