Solution Steps
- 1 Close Windows Media Player completely.
- 2 Copy all .wmdb files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player to an external folder.
- 3 Rename CurrentDatabase_400.wmdb to CurrentDatabase_400.wmdb.bak.
- 4 Open Windows Media Player to regenerate the database.
- 5 Close Windows Media Player completely.
- 6 Delete all .wmdb files in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, including the new CurrentDatabase_400.wmdb and the .bak file.
- 7 Replace the deleted .wmdb files with the copies from step 2.
- 8 Reopen Windows Media Player.
