1. 1 Press Windows key + I to open Settings. Go to System → Display → Graphics. Under 'Default graphics settings', turn on 'Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling' if it's off. This can help manage VRAM more efficiently.
2. 2 Open the game's settings and lower the texture quality to 'High' or 'Medium'. Also reduce shadow quality and anti-aliasing. These are the biggest VRAM hogs. Restart the game after changing settings.
3. 3 If the game has a 'View Distance' or 'Render Scale' option, lower it. This reduces the amount of geometry and textures loaded at once.
4. 4 Press Windows key + R, type 'sysdm.cpl' and press Enter. Go to the 'Advanced' tab, click 'Settings' under Performance, then the 'Advanced' tab, and click 'Change' under Virtual Memory. Uncheck 'Automatically manage paging file size', select your system drive, choose 'Custom size', and set Initial size and Maximum size to 1.5 times your RAM (e.g., if you have 16GB RAM, set both to 24576 MB). Click Set and OK. This increases the page file, which acts as a backup for VRAM.
5. 5 If you have a laptop, make sure it's plugged in and set to 'High Performance' power mode. Press Windows key + X, select 'Power Options', and choose 'High Performance' or 'Ultimate Performance' if available.
6. 6 Update your GPU drivers to the latest version, as newer drivers often optimize VRAM usage. Follow the same steps as in the previous guide.
