1. 1 Press Windows key + R, type 'services.msc', and press Enter. This opens the Services window. Scroll down to 'Print Spooler'. Right-click it and select 'Stop'. This halts the print queue, allowing you to clear it.
2. 2 Now, open File Explorer and navigate to the spool folder: type 'C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS' in the address bar and press Enter. Delete all files in this folder. These are the pending print jobs. If you can't delete them, you may need to take ownership or use an administrator account.
3. 3 Go back to the Services window, right-click 'Print Spooler' again, and select 'Start'. This restarts the print service with a clean queue.
4. 4 Try printing a test page: Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Select your printer, click 'Print test page'. If it prints, the queue is clear and working.
5. 5 If the error persists, check if your printer is online and not showing 'Offline' or 'Paused'. Right-click the printer in Settings and select 'See what's printing'. In the queue window, click 'Printer' and ensure 'Use Printer Offline' is unchecked and 'Pause Printing' is unchecked.
