1. 1 Start by resetting the IPsec services. Press Windows key + R, type 'cmd', and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open Command Prompt as administrator.
2. 2 Run the command 'ipsec reset' to reset the IPsec policy agent. This clears any corrupted policies.
3. 3 Next, run 'netsh int ip reset' to reset the TCP/IP stack. This can fix network corruption.
4. 4 Then run 'netsh winsock reset' to reset the Winsock catalog. This often resolves network-related errors.
5. 5 Reboot your PC to apply these changes.
6. 6 After reboot, try connecting to your VPN again. If it still fails, check your VPN client for updates. Go to the vendor's website and download the latest version.
7. 7 If you're using a built-in Windows VPN, try removing and recreating the VPN connection. Go to Settings → Network & Internet → VPN, select your connection, and click 'Remove'. Then add it again with the correct settings.
