1. 1 Press Windows key + X and select 'Device Manager'. Look for any device with a yellow exclamation mark. This indicates a problem. Right-click it and select 'Uninstall device'. Then click 'Action' > 'Scan for hardware changes'. This reinstalls the driver and may fix the issue.
2. 2 If the error is about a specific drive, open File Explorer (Windows key + E) and check if the drive appears. If it's a USB drive, try plugging it into a different port. If it's a network drive, use the steps from the ERROR_REM_NOT_LIST guide to remap it.
3. 3 Press Windows key + R, type 'diskmgmt.msc', and press Enter. Disk Management opens. Look for any disk that is 'Offline' or 'Unallocated'. Right-click an offline disk and select 'Online'. If a disk is unallocated, you may need to create a partition (but this will erase data, so be careful).
4. 4 If the device is a printer, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Click on the printer and select 'Remove device'. Then click 'Add device' to re-add it. This refreshes the printer connection.
5. 5 If the error occurs with a specific program, the program might be looking for a device that doesn't exist. Check the program's settings to change the device path or reinstall the program.
