1. 1 Boot into Safe Mode: Press Windows key + I, go to System → Recovery → Advanced startup, and click 'Restart now'. Then choose Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings → Restart, and press 4 for Safe Mode. Safe Mode uses basic display drivers, allowing you to access the system and fix the issue.
2. 2 In Safe Mode, press Windows key + X and select 'Device Manager'. Expand 'Display adapters', right-click your graphics card, and select 'Uninstall device'. Check the box 'Delete the driver software for this device' and click Uninstall. This removes the corrupted driver completely.
3. 3 After uninstalling, restart your computer normally. Windows will install a basic display adapter. Then, install the latest driver you downloaded from the manufacturer's website. Run the installer as administrator and follow the on-screen instructions. This ensures you have a clean, compatible driver.
4. 4 If the error occurs during boot before you can access Safe Mode, you can use the Windows Recovery Environment. Boot from a Windows installation USB, select 'Repair your computer', then go to Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings and enable Safe Mode.
